Topic: "SmartDrive - Saving Lives through Defensive Driving and Highway Safety Programs for Teen Drivers​"

Smart Drive is an organization that promotes defensive driving and highway safety programs for teen drivers.   SmartDrive motor vehicle safety programs are directed to the entire student body in high schools and include pledge programs such as Click 4 Life, PROMise, SmartDrive DWI (Driving With Intelligence) and  SmartDrive Classic.  In the 2017-2018 academic year, more than 40,000 students were touched by SmartDrive programs in Delaware, Maryand’s Eastern Shore and in suburban Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Guy Vanderlek, Smart Drive Program Coordinator DE/MD/PA will present the benefits of all program possibilities for teen and young adult drivers.  Everyone knows someone: coworkers, friends, neighbors, teachers, to name a few, who can benefit from this information.

The SmartDrive Foundation

Guy VanderLek, is the Program Coordinator for SmartDrive Foundation and works with school administrators to arrange and implement motor vehicle safety programs to all high schools in Delaware, Maryland’s Eastern Shore and in suburban Southeastern Pennsylvania. Formerly, Guy was the Office Manager for DFRC, a foundation dedicated to raising funds in support of programs that enrich the lives of Delawareans with intellectual disABILITIES.  Guy was responsible for maintaining Foundation records and supporting the Blue-Gold All*Star Football game. Guy was awarded both a Bachelor’s Degree and an MBA from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
